Badges BETA

Subject: Badges BETA Fri Jul 19, 2013 2:20 am

As you may have noticed, admins and mods now have pictures under their avatars stating their positions. These are "Badges". Eventually, I will add in more badges, along with requirements that must be met to obtain them. At that time, any user who preforms above and beyond what is expected will (hopefully) obtain a badge in commemoration.

For now, if you want to submit concept designs for badges, you may do so by PMing me with "Badges" as the subject line. Anyone who submits badges which are accepted will be rewarded.

The badges must:

-Be 150px wide
-Be 35px tall
-Follow the Forum Rules
-Not be stolen from another forum.

Yes, I agree that this is a good idea. If there are unique badges which can be earned for doing things with a completely new concept or something of the like as well, it would be even better. Smile

Yeah, I plan on having something like that eventually. Right now all I have to use is Microsoft Paint on a netbook with half a gig of ram... When I can, I'll start making some new ones. I'll try to have some done soon!

I got the idea of unique badges from the forum that I used to go on, which is also the forum that the vast majority of people here I think still go on as well. A select few individuals did things such as create new sections, open shops, create covenants, stuff like that. While I cannot submit a visual idea because of my lack of artistic skill... I do have an idea on how to make such badges. Perhaps put it on a background, and make an image which can go in the background a few times which is relevant to the thing they did? Sorry if my idea is a bit vague or hard to follow, but describing things is something I am terrible at.
